Click on the link above, then click on "Certification Chart" on the national website menu to view the requirements for each level. The exam schedule for 2008 appears below.

The American Guild of Organists was chartered in 1896 by the Board of Regents, University of the State of New York, to administer a comprehensive series of examinations for professional certification. Through the Professional Certification Committee the Guild offers the following certificates:

Service Playing Certificate (SPC)
Colleague (CAGO)
Choir Master (ChM)
Associateship (AAGO)
Fellowship (FAGO)

To obtain detailed requirements for each examination, contact National Headquarters by email, phone, fax, or mail.

2008 EXAMINATION DATES

Service Playing Test:

October 1, 2007 through April 30, 2008

Colleague Examination:
November 16, 2007; May 9, 2008; November 14, 2008

Choir Master Examination:
May 28, 2008
(morning and afternoon)

Associateship Examination:
May 29 and 30, 2008
(paperwork section both mornings; organ playing one of the afternoons)

Fellowship Examination:
May 29 and 30, 2008
(paperwork section both mornings; organ playing one of the afternoons)
