THE WORCESTER ORGANIST (Jan.-Feb. 2010)
The Worcester Organist is published six times annually: January, March, May, July, September and November. Newsletter items must be submitted by the 15th of the month prior to publication.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Program of Events, Organ Recitals, Choral Concerts, and Related Events.
UPCOMING CHAPTER EVENT(S):
February 14 at 3:00 p.m. - Worcester Chapter AGO will sponsor a member recital at Pakachoag Church (203 Pakachoag Street, Auburn). The performers will be Debra LeBrun, Minister of Music at the Congregational Church of Littleton, and John Weit, the new Director of Music and Organist at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester. This recital is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be accepted to help defray the cost of future programs. Reception to follow.
The Scholarship Committee is again offering financial awards in the form of scholarships to students of the organ. Deadline for application is March 31, 2010. The committee is urging teachers to inform their students of this opportunity. We welcome letters of intent for the year 2010-2011.
