Position Title: Director of Music
Description: Select, prepare and play music for 1 service weekly. Between the months of September and May, rehearse and direct 8-10 member choral ensemble twice weekly, once during the week and once before the service. Compensation will be provided for additional services: Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve, weddings, funerals,etc.

Position Information: Part-time (15 hours/week) Director of Music to enhance worship in active, nurturing parish. Ideal candidate brings enthusiasm, creativity, familiarity with the role of music in liturgy, and excellent volunteer leadership skills, in addition to a high level of musicianship particularly in the area of accompaniment. Responsibilities: Select, plan, and coordinate music for worship in cooperation with pastoral staff. Direct established adult, junior, and cherub choirs. Play for one Sunday service per week (10 a.m.), for weekly adult and children’s choir rehearsals during choir season (Sept. – May), and for additional special services on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Great Vigil of Easter, and Easter Day.
Instruments: Rodgers 200/205 Series.Rogers Something-or-Other Two Manuals and 33 stops.I don’t have complete notes on this; I left them in the organ bench]. Also, a Yamaha PX201 Digital Piano in the worship space, and a Kawai rehearsal piano.

Trinity Episcopal Church, Whitinsville - Minister of Music
Summary of Job Description
Objective: the Minister of Music (M/M) is to support, lead, and provide
music that heightens the glorification of God in worship and helps people
enter into communion with Him (i.e., supports the spiritual growth and
ministry of the Church). Trinity, while conservative theologically, is open
to many styles musically.
Time Requirements: This position will require approximately 15-18 hours per
week. This includes the Sunday morning worship service at 9:15 and choral
warm-up/rehearsal; weekly rehearsal of the Adult (volunteer) and Jr. Choirs;
selection, practice, and preparation of the music; program planning,
coordination, and administration.
There are some other services included: Christmas Pageant, Christmas Eve,
Ash Wednesday evening, Maundy Thursday evening, Good Friday evening, and the
7:45 AM Easter service.
The Minister of Music has the right of first refusal for weddings and
funerals. (Honoraria of $150-$200.)
Roles: The M/M serves as: 1) Organist/pianist; 2) Choir Director; 3) Music
Program Director.
Choirs: Trinity an Adult Choir, with about ten members; There has been a Jr. Choir, with members in grades 3-8; however there are not enough children
interested at this time. We hope there will be in the fairly near future.
We have also had a "Contemporary Christian Music" group in the past, and the
congregation is very open to this style of music.
Instruments: An Aeolian-Skinner organ, built in 1946, with two manuals and
about 20 ranks. There is a Three Rivers piano in the chancel, and a Lester
piano in the choir room.
Compensation: Based on the AGO Worcester Chapter standards. Annual salary
range would be $10,000 to $12,000, for those with an AGO certificate of
proficiency in service playing. There are four weeks of vacation included.
If desired, additional Sundays off can be negotiated.

Position Information: Provide music for two Sunday morning services; rehearse and conduct the adult choir and the adult bell choir. Additional compensation will be provided for weddings and funerals.
Instrument Description: The organ in the main sanctuary is a four-manual, six-division, 73-rank 1927 E. M. Skinner. (The console was rebuilt in 2000.) In the chapel is a two-manual electronic Rodgers. Other instruments include a nine foot Steinway grand piano, and four+ octaves of Malmark handbells.
